What I wish for....

Have you ever come across the difficuties in the fitting room when you need to change your dress a few times before you decide the perfect clothe or dress to buy? Yupp it's me!. I hate taking out the clothe , and tudung and puting on them over and over again until I finally decided the perfect dress! As for me, I need at least three hours to shop, to try and to decide. Kind of fussy but if you have limited budget , that's what we always do dont you? So, I have to really plan when I want to go for shopping because I have to wear the most convenience appearance like jeans and T-shirt plus light make-up. I dont want' my make-up stained the dress or blouse that I tried.

What if you only have limited time but you need to shop for a nice dress? So, I guess if the dress shop could offer the technology as shown in the video, what a bliss for me. Definately I would use it. It is so convenience and I wouldn't need to share the fitting room. Moreover , nowadays, changing in the fitting room is not absolutely safe! What if there is a hidden camera? Scary.

Furthermore it is suitable for Muslim ladies , where we shall not need to remove every piece of dress, inner and tudung just to get the perfect view of wearing the dress or blouse that we would like to buy. You know how stressful when we have to take-out and put on again and again the tudung with brooches and pins?

With the technology offers, I just have to click virtually and check over the perfect dress for me. What a pleasure!

How Internet Changed My Life?

What I love most about internet is I could connect with people all over the planet. I think internet is simple, faster and straightforward communication. My very first experience in internet (other than email) is MIRC and I found it very fun and interesting to know other people from other places.

Later, I was thrilled creating my first own website using a step by step book written by students from UTP (forgotten the title of the book). I paid 1 year hosting but that was only my trial and part of learning only and nothing more. During that time the first internet tycoon appeared in Malaysia is Irfan Khairi. I was quite impressed how he started making a lot of money through online business. So, I decided to learn about this ‘internet’. Honestly I am not IT savvy and all the IT terms are very strange to me. When I was in UUM, we were only exposed to emails and wordstar! I was lucky because I was a lecturer in one of the private college those days which offers Diploma in IT, Business and Accounting. So, I started learning all the IT terms and IT word with my colleagues and even from my student. ( Infact one of my IT student currently working under the same roof with me as IT Officer.. hmm I’ am proud of him..)

Then 3 years ago I created my blog http://nurashilayusuf.blogspot.com and most of the entries based on the true story. It was sort of my diaries. I think it was very cool because I experienced by learning all by myself and figure out how to create new setting, templates, new background, insert photo and etc. I do blogwalking and figuring out how other bloggers using so many interesting widgets. Then, many active bloggers created online business through blog and have connected with many advertising providers and put many advertisements in their blog. The bloggers will get paid when the readers of his/her blog click to the advertisement. I think it was very interesting and creative type of advertisements nowadays and the blogger could make a lot of money by creating interesting blog /websites. So, all the bloggers start to compete and create even more interesting blog to pull the readers to their blog.

There are many ways to pull readers to the blog / website such as write interesting topics, share link with any useful things or story or seminar, or ask the readers to give comments, or joint a bigger group which is part of the target readers and etc. The main thing is time and creativity how to promote your blog and website. As for me, I prefer to read blogs / websites with very moderate effects and straightforward. If there are so many widgets / gadgets and hiding links it will make me confuse and boring. I also created my own friendster to connect with many friends and sharing photos and exchanged info.
When facebook was first introduced, it is another social networking which offers better interface and with very smart and efficient networking with shorter time spent. The smart thing is the friend finder where I could get connected with my old primary schools. It was bliss! And I had my first reunion secondary school last December 2010 because of facebook! I think internet also has given most of the people the opportunity to connect with the other part of the world. It is only a click away! And it is advantage to those who are sick and need to stay in the house and Internet is their best friend.

The internet do changed my understanding towards ICT and the usage. I would be ready to have my own online business in no time (provided if I have the product and suit myself and my time) and maintain the web on my own because the webmaster fees are quite expensive. Last but not least, I have almost a thousand of songs collections! It is all because of Internet….

Why am I online shopping ?

I am quite sceptical when shopping online being introduced since internet usage getting popular in the country. They are so many pesismistic thinking in my head because any purchases required a payment first. I always thought 'what if questions' ; what if you will never get the product after you had paid the price, what if the product that you purchased is not as what you expected, and what if... and nobody could satisfy good answer to me until I experienced it.

So, 2009, I started my first purchase experience through online. But it was only when one of my collegue has purchased a few loose fabrics for baju kurung or kebaya through online. So I decided to buy one of the gorgeus material for myself. ( forgotten the web address).I found that the step is very simple. Firstly I need to confirm the code number of product and filled up the simple information such as name , address and email address. Within 12 hours, I received the email to confirm the availability of the product and asking to bank in the payment to the required account number. Choices has been given either to fax the bank slip or email the reference number. However I chose to sms the reference number . When the payment has confirmed, i received the product within 3 working days. Then what if questions has disappeared and precautions mind still remain.

Then I started to buy perfume from http://thebeautyholics.blogspot.com/ ; a Burberry perfume with a very affordable price compared from the shopping complex. I was found myself spent a lot of time surfing many blogs and websites and checking latest trend of lady fashion and cheap product in the market . In fact I learnt how to make smokey eyes makeup through youtube!

Last year my husband has shown interest in a new hobby that is golf. He started googling and surfing to read all the information about golf. Not like me, my husband quite optimistic person. He bought his first set of golf through http://www.lelong.com.my/ and followed by a few drivers, golf balls and even shuttlecock for his badminton practice.

We both equally agreed that if we spent a little time on survey online market price on the certain desired product, we would be able to get a good quality product with reasonable price which far cheaper than the shop in Ipoh.

The benefits to me and husband are :-

1. Save a lot of money ; would be able to get the product from outside Ipoh

2. Save a lot of time ; don't have to go survey to find the right shop to purchase the desire product 3. Window shopping from home could save a lot of time.. infact I could do it while watching my favorite show..

4. Get the latest information in trend fashion and style; e.i how to wear tudung and jubah and at the same time you are still look fabulous and decent.

5. Really spend the money on the neccesaary item, no extra charges on other expenses such as car park, tit bits, drinks and etc.

6. Good way to eliminate the impulse purchase habits!

7. I think some of latest design tudung or dress in Ipoh is outdated compared from KL or Klang valley....so I equip myself with the latest info..

so.. these are why I like shop online ..hmmm

take a break with IT jokes

Why computers are like men:

1.In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on.
2.They have a lot of data, but are still clueless.
3.They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they are the problem.
4.As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have had a better model.
Why computers are like women:

1.No one but the Creator understands their internal logic.
2.The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else.
3.Even your smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for later retrieval.
4.As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

Laws of Computer Programming

1.Any given program, when running, is obsolete.
2.Any given program costs more and takes longer.
3.If a program is useful, it will have to be changed.
4.If a program is useless, it will have to be documented.
5.Any program will expand to fill available memory.
6.The value of a program is proportional to the weight of its output.
7.Program complexity grows until it exceeds the capabilities of the programmer who must maintain it.
8.Any non-trivial program contains at least one bug.
9.Undetectable errors are infinite in variety, in contrast to detectable errors, which by definition are limited.
10.Adding manpower to a late software project makes it later
